Located inside the historic 1914 home of former mayor and state legislator Colonel William Butt, Black Sheep Restaurant is a stylish, romantic, and cozy location with a decadently delicious menu. Because it’s in a home, the small rooms create an intimacy that other spots cannot, and the covered patio under a 200 year old oak tree offers an outdoor option that is just as homey and rustic. Entree options include pork belly with maple bourbon glaze or the black sheep meatloaf, featuring two meats and four cheeses. And definitely do not skip dessert or a cocktail during your stay!

Inside, the colorful restaurant features provincial French fare such as quiches and crepes as well as sandwiches and salads. There is also a large outdoor patio for a snack or dessert al fresco. Recently a dinner menu has been added with classic French entrees such as coq au vin.

With a name such as Southern Charm Restaurant, guests can expect exactly that: a bright atmosphere and fried comfort food on their plates. Look for fried green tomatoes, country fried steak, fried chicken, and fresh buttermilk biscuits, and make sure you leave room for caramel bread pudding.
Mona Lisa’s Dessert House

A little different than our other entries but just as delightful is Mona Lisa’s Dessert House. The dessert and wine bar is a sophisticated stop when you are looking for the perfect sweet treat to end your night. Family-run, their claim to fame includes a rich bourbon caramel spice cake as well as sweet “rimmed wines” to pick from, like the The Orchard, featuring Moscata and dripped caramel.
